Here's to a happy, healthy and brilliantly green 2009! (Better late than never, right?)2008 was certainly a busy year, so as we creep into January, I'm trying to hold onto that refreshed "holiday break" feel that kept me far from the blog through most of December. It worked too! With the New Year comes a renewed sense of motivation--so there's much to do on Green Globetrotter--and loads of news to share.
One of my goals this year (I've dubbed '09 the year of "new experiences"--thanks, Shelly) is journaling. I'm obviously a fan of digital dialogue, but let's be serious, nothing beats putting pen to paper and flipping through those pages later in life.
This year, I'm kicking off the journal experiment with Botanical Paperworks' "Think & Write & Grow" plantable journal ($24.95). Not only is it made with 100 percent post-consumer content paper, the cover is embedded with wildflower seeds. That way, when I'm no longer keen on re-reading my deepest, darkest secrets, I can drop it in the backyard and enjoy a spray of wildflowers instead.Of course, it makes a perfect travel journal too, ideal for logging the coordinates of all your juicy 2009 escapes.
