Schwabish Gmund Slideshow

Last month, I had the rare and fabulous opportunity to hop a plane to Germany and tour the biodynamic gardens of skincare company, Weleda, which I covered for The Alternative Consumer. You can read my full posts on the experience by visiting the links below, but I just couldn't resist sharing some of the photos from my trip with you here on G.G....

The pond outside of Weleda's visitor center
Calendula fields post-harvesting
Weleda's visitor center, including organic cafe and shop
Simple decor inside the visitor's center
Fresh fare... and a perfect lunch
The Weleda shop (no credit cards accepted)
Town square in Schwabish Gmund (find the gelato place!)

Biodynamic skin care products? One doesn't come across those very often. This place seems has the feeling of a haven. These pictures alone gives the impression of someone who knows both style and how to run an eco-friendly business.

So cool, right? And the products are definitely worth checking out, especially Skin Food - which is a cult fave (and never, ever leaves my nightstand).
